Japanese Thanks (A15S)

  1. Flatten a piece of black Sculpey III, wipe stamp with water, and stamp into clay
  2. Rub shades of gold and copper Pearl-Ex on raised portions, and bake according to directions
  3. Spray with sealer so Pearl Ex won't rub off. Set aside
  4. Cut 4 pieces of black card approx. 1 1/4" square
  5. Using sponge, dab squares with copper pearl acrylic paint. When dry, rub with gold Pearl-Ex
  6. Tape squares to deckle edge cut black card (leaving space between them as shown), then to beige, then to size S black card
  7. Using E6000 glue, attach clay piece to front of card, centering in squares

The shine of the Pearl-Ex on the clay piece and small squares don't show up well in the scan

#1 Fan (A16S)

  1. Cut white card stock to 5" square card and dry emboss 4 squares (see comments below)
  2. On separate white card scrap, stamp or Computer generate fans - 2 of each
  3. Water color fans, blending colors, and cut out each one (you should have 8)
  4. Glue one of each fan to a square; then attach same fan on top with foam dots
  5. Add a little glitter to top of each fan
  6. Handwrite words with purple gel pen

    Stamps: None.

I couldn't find a brass stencil that would make the four sections, so I cut one from acetate. Email me for stencil design.

Fan is a dingbat font (Fans) from House of Lime

This card didn't scan well. The scan doesn't show the layered fans, nor the glitter.

Pink Geisha (A17H)

  1. Computer generate oriental writing and print in pink on white card.
  2. Sponge with yellow, pink and coral inks.

  5. Tape sponged piece to the yellow card
  6. Computer generate Geisha on white card stock and sponge with the same colors.
  7. Wipe with clear embossing ink and sprinkle with clear embossing powder. Heat. (I only embossed one layer which left a rough texture. You could emboss several more times if you wanted a smooth finish)
  8. Outline piece with a Krylon gold leaf pen.
  9. Glue a piece of rainbow sheer ribbon across card and attach Geisha with foam dots

Stamps: Hero Arts Chinese Wish Set; computer generated Geisha and small symbols. Email me for clip art
