Booklets - Mini Books

All books are made by covering the front and back covers of purchased mini-composition books with decorative paper (I used double-sided tape and glue stick). A 1 1/2" strip of contrasting cardstock is used as the binding and attached with E6000 glue. Book should be pressed under heavy books for a few hours to be sure the binding is secure.

 

Book 9 - Shell (MB9)

  1. Outline book with gold Krylon pen
  2. Glue fibers to top of binding
  3. Press white Sculpey clay into a mold made from shell stamp and remove. (See clay mold instructions). Bake according to directions.
  4. When cool, sponge with purple, blue and green pigment inks
  5. Glue to book using E6000 glue

Book 10 - Fern (MB10)

  1. Outline book with gold Krylon pen
  2. Glue fibers to top of binding
  3. Press white Sculpey clay into a mold made from leaf stamp and remove. (See clay mold instructions). Bake according to directions
  4. When cool, sponge with olive pigment ink and let dry
  5. Glue to book using E6000 glue

Book 11 - Red Glamour (MB11)

  1. Cover with red decorative paper and outline book with gold Krylon pen
  2. Computer generate image and layer to dark red, then black cardstock and tape to book
  3. Color clay photo corners (See clay mold instructions) with gold Krylon pen and glue to image with E6000
  4. Add a strip of O'So Sticky Tape to the binding, peel protective cover, and pour on various beads

Book 12 - Flower (MB12)

  1. Outline book with gold Krylon pen
  2. Glue silk flower to top right corner with E6000 glue
  3. Computer generate image and cut into a tag shape
  4. Add sheer ribbon and string pearls through hole in top
  5. Attach to book with foam dots

    Stamps: none

 

Book 13 - Statue (MB13)

  1. Outline book with gold Krylon pen
  2. Glue handmade paper to front
  3. Computer generate image, outline with gold pen and attach to handmade paper with foam tape
  4. Color clay heart with gold pen and attach with E6000 glue

    Stamps: none

 

Book 14 - Postcard (MB14)

  1. Outline book with gold Krylon pen
  2. Glue fibers to top
  3. Outline clay dragonfly with gold pen
  4. Attach to book with E6000 glue

    Stamps: Dragonfly (Inkadinkado)

 

Book 15 - Pink (MB15)

  1. Outline book with gold Krylon pen
  2. Glue fibers to top
  3. Color top and edges of clay image with gold pen
  4. Attach to book with E6000 glue

    Stamps: Design stamp (Sculpey's Classic Stamplets set)
