Tag Booklets (M43-M44-M45)

Following are basic instructions for preparing a tag booklet. Specific directions for the individual books will be listed below:

Prepare Tag

  1. Cut a 3 3/4" x 8 1/2" tag from cardstock
  2. Layer with first color card stock or decorative paper
  3. Tear contrasting card stock or decorative paper on an angle and tape to tag as shown
  4. Stamp tag with script or appropriate stamps if desired
  5. Attach letters down left side (I used buttons on all of these, but tags or stickers would work)
  6. Prepare and attach top embellishment
  7. Attach buttons, charms or additional embellishments
  8. Punch a hole in the top and add fibers
Prepare Booklet:
  1. Cut 5 pieces of cream cardstock 2 1/4" x 3 1/4" (or as many pages as you want)
  2. In a graphics or word processing program, draw 9 rectangles on the screen and type the verses, using different fonts
  3. Print the page on plain text weight paper to use as a sample for placement
  4. I printed some verses on decorative paper and some on the plain cardstock, so I taped the appropriate kind of paper over the rectangles on the plain text paper
  5. Delete the rectangles on the screen, and then put the paper back through the printer (now with your good paper pieces taped over the rectangles on the sample sheet)
  6. Assemble the pages and ink the edges of the decorative paper and pages as you wish
  7. Line up all pages and punch five 1/8" holes at the top. (The holes cut through the first few sheets and made impressions on the others in the stack so I was able to punch the second group in the same place)
  8. Attach large jump rings to the top and attach the booklet to the tag with double thickness of foam tape
