Peace for your Soul (C22H)

Make background piece: (This is my version of the faux linen technique from Technique Junkies Newsletter).
  1. Randomly stamp images on glossy white paper (I used both writing stamps in Tea Dye ink, and the column and decorative piece in Walnut Stain)
  2. Sand paper well, both horizontally and vertically.
  3. Rub Haystack ink on entire piece with a sponge. Though it doesn't show up well in the scan, the background looks like linen.
  4. I sanded again and added another layer of Haystack.
  5. Cut four 2" x 2 3/4" pieces from this background, and sponge the edges with Tea Dye.
    Prepare Card:
  1. Computer generate text on tan cardstock in Lanie Day font.
  2. Fold cardstock in half to make an 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" card and tear the bottom edge.
  3. Rub bottom and all edges with Tea Dye ink.
  4. Layer the 4 background pieces to dark brown cardstock, tearing bottom.
  5. Layer to medium blue cardstock, also tearing bottom.
  6. Stamp woman image in chocolate brown ink on cream cardstock.
  7. Color with chalk and spray with matt sealer.
  8. Layer to dark brown cardstock and attach to center of card with foam tape
