Purple Egyptian (C1H)

  1. Stamp Egyptian symbols in clear embossing ink on size H purple card and gold emboss.
  2. Computer generate pyramids and heiroglyphics on white card stock and sponge rainbow colors on top
  3. Trim edges as shown on sample and tape to peach color card cut a little larger
  4. Tape to purple card
  5. Rub gold or clear embossing ink on small square of mat board and gold emboss 3 times
  6. After the third time, heat powder again, and stamp Pharaoh using black Memories ink
  7. Rub embossing ink around edges and black emboss (I had to do it twice, and be careful that the gold embossing doesn't melt and damage your stamped image). Tape to card
  8. Squeeze a little puddle of hot glue onto a heatproof surface. Using gold pigment ink, stamp small swirl into glue and leave stamp there until glue sets. (Must use ink or glue may pull stamp away from backing when you try to remove)
  9. Rub with a little copper Pearl ex.
  10. Thread beads onto head pin, glue to card with E6000 and attach glue embellishment on top

Egyptian CD Spot (C14H)

  1. Gold emboss Egyptian symbols on cream card
  2. Sponge with various shades of green and blue pigment ink
  3. Outline with gold Krylon pen, and cut into pieces
  4. Tape pieces to size H black card, trimming pieces where necessary to show black lines
  5. Stamp image on cream card, stipple lightly with blue and green ink, and use gold pen to highlight parts of the headdress.
  6. Sponge blue and green ink on CD, heat set, and stamp image. See CD techniques
  7. Rub with clear embossing ink and clear emboss 3 times
  8. Outline with gold pen, drill hole in botton, and add beads on a jump ring
  9. Tape image to piece of black card and attach to large card with foam dots
  10. Line up CD image on main image and attach CD with foam dots

Greek Domino Tag (C15H)

  1. TAG: Computer generate the collage on white card stock and cut into tag shape
  2. Stamp butterfly and Greek postage with black Memories ink
  3. Sponge pigment inks (yellow, orange, red, brown, copper) on tag and outline with gold Krylon pen.
  4. Punch hole in top and thread gold cord through
  5. CARD: Take size H cream card and gold emboss images.
  6. Lightly stipple same colors as sponged onto tag
  7. Glue a piece of handmade paper to card and attach tag with foam dots
  8. Glue tops of cord to card and let ends hang loosely
  9. DOMINO: Print image of Greek man on tissue paper (see Tissue Stamp Technique) Attach to domino, sponge with same colors ink.
  10. Outline with gold pen and spray with clear fixative.
  11. Glue to tag with E6000 glue.

Egyptian Postage (C2H*)

  1. Using postage template, type the words "Egyptian post" and the postage amount in four squares and print on white card stock.
  2. Lay acetate template over card stock, and sponge with yellow, orange, brown and copper ink
  3. Stamp Egyptian symbols in brown ink, and set piece aside.
  4. Stamp Egyptian "eye" with clear embossing ink on size H tan card stock. Rub copper Pearl-Ex over images and spray with sealer
  5. Cut a piece of beige card stock; then a piece of patterned paper (I used wallpaper) a little smaller and attach to tan card stock.
  6. Take a piece of hand-made or textured paper and attach to patterned paper with foam dots.
  7. Attach postage piece to textured paper with foam dots

King Tut (C3H)

  1. Stamp King Tut into a small piece of gold Sculpey clay. Rub with gold and copper Pearl-ex and bake at 300 for about 15 minutes. When hardened, rub raised portions with black dye ink
  2. Computer generate Egyptian hieroglyphics onto cream card stock and cut to 7 1/2" x 4 1/4"
  3. Cut out 3 1/2" x 4" rectangle from center
  4. Center hieroglyphics onto size H black card stock and trace rectangle. Cut out.
  5. Attach hieroglyphics to black card stock.
  6. Using E6000 glue, attach clay piece to 3"x4" piece of cream textured paper.
  7. Attach clay piece to inside of card, centering in window.

Egyptian CD Pin Card

  1. Prepare card as above except:
  2. Cut opening a little smaller to accommodate pin
  3. Use turquoise inside piece
  4. Sponge copper ink on black portions of card
  5. Pin the CD pin through the turquoise card and then tape the piece to the black card. This way the pin will not show through the back of the card

African Adventure (C4H*)

  1. Fold brown card stock in half and cut 1" strip from front edge
  2. Draw decorative lines with embossing pen and rub with gold or copper Pearl-Ex.
  3. String beads on leather cord and knot each end, leaving about 6" excess.
  4. Punch two small holes in card and push ends of cord through from the front. Knot the back several times until the knot is too large to fit through the hole. Set aside.
  5. Cut a "shield" about 7" long from light brown paper and draw lines with embossing pen. Gold emboss. (Do just a few lines at a time and then emboss and repeat)
  6. Lay shield on cream card stock and cut around it with deckle scissors about 1/4" larger. Rub edges with copper ink. Attach to brown card at an angle as shown.
  7. Computer generate African Animals onto cream card stock.
  8. Sponge with yellow, orange, brown and copper inks, and attach to shield.
  9. Attach postage stamps in top right corner. (If you don't have stamps, you could use African masks, or animal tracks)

Egyptian (C5H)

  1. Stamp egyptian stamps on H size black card stock and emboss in gold
  2. Stamp King Tut onto parchment paper and emboss in black
  3. Cut gold card stock to size and run through crimper to corrugate
  4. Cut small piece of black card stock 3/8" larger than King Tut
  5. Attach King Tut to black card stock, and then to corrugated gold stock
  6. Attach to embossed black card
