- Trim white cardstock to 6" x 11"
- Fold up 4 1/4" from the bottom, and bring the top down to match (top folds down at about 2 1/2") - it's good to have a little extra space
- Mark in about 1 1/4" along the folded top edge, and cut from the bottom corner to your mark. Repeat for the other side (I actually made a paper template first to be sure my sides would be even and traced it onto the cardstock)
- Cut striped paper 6" x 8 1/2" to cover the back and front of purse, and attach
- Cut dotted paper 5" x 2 1/4" to cover the flap (paper will need to be trimmed after attaching)
- Tape green dotted ribbon along the bottom edge of flap
- Set two eyelets at the back top of the purse
- Push green dotted ribbon from the outside through the eyelet and tie in a small knot on the inside
- Measure out the length of ribbon you want (I used about 6"), and push the other end in through the eyelet and tie in a knot
- Attach a small piece of velcro to keep the flap closed
- I had a heart embellishment from an old card that was perfect, but you can decorate any way you wish.
