Four Squares (H16S)

  1. Take size S cream card stock and if you are printing your inside message on a printer, do it first.
  2. Stamp four shadow squares, two in gold and two in silver on front of card as shown on sample.
  3. Spray with sealer (the metallic inks will rub off if you don't)
  4. Punch a hole between the squares on top, bottom and both sides. (My hole punch was only able to reach two of the edges, so I used small scissors to make the other holes)
  5. Take sheer cream ribbon and feed ends from the front of the card through the top and bottom holes. Criss-cross the ribbon on the inside (see second photo) and feed ribbon edges out through the side holes. Make bow.
  6. I stamped Merry Christmas inside and embossed in gold

Embossed Dove (H17S)

  1. Print inside message on size S cream card stock.
  2. Cut piece of vellum 4 1/2" x 4 1/2" and dry emboss dove
  3. Cut gold tissue paper (or any gold paper or card stock) into 5" square.
  4. Attach gold paper to cream card stock (I had a lot of trouble with the tissue but I really liked the color-it seemed to stretch and wouldn't lay right.
  5. Line up vellum on top of gold and punch two holes in top through all three layers (vellum, gold and front of card stock)
  6. Tie sheer gold ribbon through holes. (The vellum is only held on by the ribbon)

If you're not into carving your own stamps, you could purchase a dove stamp, or print the dove template below, trace it on to acetate or mat board and cut out the image. Then use the cut out as a stencil and sponge the embossing ink onto the card stock. Sprinkle with gold powder and heat.
