Holiday Quick Cards - Newest

These are quick Christmas cards - all can be made in about 10 minutes






Christmas Angels (HQ24Q)

  1. Prepare 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" dark red card
  2. Cut decorative paper to 4" x 5 1/4" and computer generate "Merry Christmas" in Scriptina font at the top
  3. Attach to card with red eyelets
  4. Print Angel clip art and mat to red cardstock - tear the bottom
  5. Tie a green ribbon around piece
  6. Attach to card with foam tape

Noel (HQ25Q)

  1. Computer generate Noel on green decorative paper and cut into "wave" shape
  2. Tape to 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" dark red card
  3. Attach two red eyelets as shown
  4. Print tree clip art
  5. Attach to card with foam tape

    Tree clip art: I used a downloaded tree image and made the following changes: recolored the green to match the card, added dotted lines as a border, added digital red "chalk" along the lines, drew over the lines with a red marker once it was printed.

    I couldn't find paper in the shade I wanted, so I created digital paper and used a "blinds" brush to draw the textured lines.

Green Angel (HQ26Q)

  1. Print "Merry Christmas" using Scriptina font on green wallpaper sample
  2. Trim to 4" x 5 1/4", outline with gold leafing pen, and tape to 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" red card
  3. Cut red cardstock 2 1/4" x 3 1/2", outline with leafing pen, and attach to right side of card with gold eyelets
  4. Outline Angel clip art image with gold pen and attach with foam tape

Pink & Green Tree (HQ27Q)

  1. Fold light green cardstock to make a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" card
  2. Cut a strip of pink cardstock and attach across front, a little above center
  3. Attach a piece of green dotted ribbon in the center of the pink piece
  4. Attach tree image with pink eyelets

Merry & Bright Santa (HQ28Q)

  1. Fold black cardstock to make a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" card
  2. Print "Merry & Bright in Aoelus font on a 4 1/4" x 1 3/4" piece of red cardstock
  3. Attach a piece of dotted ribbon and wrap ends around the back; tie a small piece of dotted ribbon in a knot to right side
  4. Attach to black card as shown
  5. Cut striped decorative paper to 3 3/4" square and attach to card, overlapping the red piece
  6. Print Santa image on 3" square white cardstock and attach with foam tape at an angle
  7. Glue a green button to the end of Santa's hat

    Credits: Bright Striped Paper (Dyan Cross); Santa image - Santa is a Dingbat font that I colored in Paint Shop Pro, and added a dotted background. Email me if you would like the image.

A Star Led the Way (HQ29Q)

  1. Fold black cardstock to make a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" card
  2. Print "A star led the way" on white cardstock, trim to 5 1/4" x 4"
  3. Attach a piece of green decorative paper to top of white cardstock
  4. Attach a strip of gingham ribbon to cover seam, taping ends around the back
  5. Attach the white cardstock to black card
  6. Stamp or print Bethlehem on white cardstock and attach to torn-bottom black cardstock
  7. Attach to card with foam tape

    Credits: I used clip art for the Bethlehem scene, and digitally "painted" with green streaks before printing on white cardstock

Believe (HQ30Q)

  1. Cut the following from decorative paper: 2 1/2" x 4" (stripe); 1 1/2" x 1 1/8" (stripe);
    1 1/2" x 4" (print); 2 1/2" x 1 1/8" (print)
  2. Attach as shown to a folded 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" dark green card
  3. Attach Santa Page Pebble or purchased element with foam tape
  4. Glue a small bow above element, and a "Rejoice" metal charm in the bottom right corner

Bethlehem Noel (HQ31Q)

  1. Fold black cardstock to make a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" card
  2. Print bethlehem scene and "Noel" on white cardstock
  3. Sponge edges of both with clear embossing ink and sprinkle with silver embossing powder. Heat emboss
  4. Attach scene to card with foam tape
  5. Attach silver eyelets to card, and tie green, burgundy and silver ribbon through, into a knot.
