These are quick Christmas cards - all can be made in about 10 minutes






 

Tiny Envelope (HQ1Q)
  1. Print Merry Christmas in green in various fonts on decorative paper
  2. Trim and tape to quarter-size folded dark red card
  3. Cut small envelope from white card stock using template, tape together and rub edges with cranberry ink
  4. Stamp cancelled postage on bottom and tape to card
  5. Computer generate "postage stamp", cut out with decorative scissors and insert in envelope

    Stamps: Postage (Hero Arts); all others are clip art

 

Wise Men Tag (HQ2Q)

  1. Cut out tag from Paper Pizzaz Tag Art book and outline with gold Krylon pen
  2. Outline folded quarter-size red card with gold pen and tape tag on card
  3. Computer generate text on vellum, tear edges and attach to card with red eyelets

    Stamps: None

 

Red Wisemen (HQ3Q)

  1. Computer generate wisemen on white cardstock and trim, leaving about 1/4" of white card stock showing
  2. Outline with silver Krylon pen
  3. Outline folded quarter size red card with silver Krylon pen and attach wisemen with foam tape
  4. Insert white (or silver) eyelets and thread silver cord through; tie in knot

Pastel Madonna (HQ4Q)

  1. Computer generate image and tape to purple card that has been outlined with silver Krylon pen
  2. Outline a folded quarter-size lilac card with silver pen and attach image with foam tape

Believe...(HQ5Q)

  1. Computer generate Santa image on white card stock and cut to 3 1/4 x 4
  2. Layer to red card stock sized 3 1/2 x 4 1/4
  3. Computer generate "Believe" in red on white card stock - cut to 4 x 5 1/4
  4. Layer to quarter size folded red card

Peace Dove (HQ6Q)

  1. Computer generate Peace background in blue ink on white cardstock
  2. Trim and tape to quarter-size folded blue-grey card
  3. Cut vellum 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" and stamp dove with clear embossing ink; silver emboss
  4. Attach to card with blue eyelets
  5. Tie a silver ribbon through the eyelets

Baby (HQ7Q)

  1. Prepare a tan card, 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" and rub edges with Tea Dye Distress Ink
  2. Cut a medium brown piece of cardstock 1/4" smaller, rub edges with ink and attach to card
  3. Cut a piece of raffia to fit diagonally across card, unfold it, and attach to card
  4. Attach image of baby to card with foam tape (I used an old card front)

Christmas Birds (HQ8Q)

  1. Outline a folded 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" green card with gold Krylon pen
  2. Attach a piece of decorative paper, cut 1/4" smaller
  3. Attach gold mesh ribbon down the center of the card
  4. Tear an image of the birds from an old card, or use clip art
  5. Ink the edges with green and attach to card with foam tape

    Stamps: none

Christmas Tree (HQ9Q)

  1. Stamp pine cones on a folded 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" green card with green ink
  2. Cut a piece of red cardstock 5 1/2" high and tear the right edge
  3. Stamp with pine cones using green ink
  4. Tear a piece of cream card stock and outline the torn edge with a gold Krylon pen
  5. Attach the cream card to the back of the red piece and attach them both to the green card
  6. Outline the card with the gold Krylon pen
  7. Tear the Christmas tree image from an old card or use clip art and rub the edges with green ink
  8. Attach to the card with foam tape
