Graduation Tag (M69)
This is a great way to use up scraps of paper (most of the paper I used was wallpaper from old books)
- Cut cardstock into 10 1/2" x 7". Score at 3 1/2" and 7 1/2" and fold, making a "hill" for the first fold from the left and a "valley" for the second fold.
- When tags are complete, punch holes at the top of each one and attach ribbon and fibers
First Tag:- Cover tag with black patterned paper, then cream handwriting paper, cut a little short at the bottom.
- Ink edges of tan textured paper with black ink, and attach to gold metallic paper with torn bottom
- Attach to tag with foam tape
- Cut a square from black linen cardstock, mount to heavier cardstock, and attach a small piece of black cardstock to bottom on an angle to simulate the "sides" of the cap
- Attach a gold tassel using a black brad (my tassel was a really bright gold, so I sponged it with black ink to tone it down)
- Color a die-cut label holder with gold leafing pen and rub with black ink to antique
- Print text on parchment, attach to the back of the label holder, and attach to the tag with brads
Second Tag:- Cover with black patterned paper, then with black and white printed paper, cutting the left edge short
- Attach a small strip of black and white diamond paper
- Print text on parchment, ink edges and attach to gold metallic paper
- Attach piece to tag with foam tape
Third Tag:- Cover with beige/brown striped paper
- Attach a square of darker brown paper to the bottom, attaching only at the sides and bottom, to make a pocket (can put check, cash or gift card inside)
- Print text on parchment, attach to decorative paper with brads and tape to pocket
