Graduation (M38)

    Pocket
  1. Cut a piece of beige parchment cardstock to measure 8 1/2"" x 9"
  2. Score 2 1/4" from left edge and 2 3/8" from right edge, leaving 4" for the front of the pocket
  3. Cut semi-circle from top of pocket
  4. Stamp as desired and fold scored edges to the back, taping to close

I computer generated the watch collage including the text and printed on the cardstock before cutting. The first image to the left shows my printed page. I had to make sure that my text and images were centered so they would show up on the center panel. I also cut a small rectangle for the letters "GRAD" to show through from the inserted card before taping shut. I then stippled with brown ink to add some shading.

    Inside Card
  1. Cut dark red cardstock 3 3/4" x 9" and stamp design (I used the same computer-generated design as on the front, except I printed in black ink and didn't include the text. I made sure that the GRAD of Graduate lined up with the rectangle cut from the pocket)
  2. Computer generate text on vellum and attach to card with red eyelets
  3. Attach a copper eyelet to the top and thread fibers through
  4. Insert card in pocket
  5. Computer generate two tags with "0" on one and "4" on the other, punch holes and thread fiber through.
  6. Tie in knot around the pocket.

    Stamps: None - computer generated
