Color Strip (M7H*)

  1. Dry emboss rectangle on size H white card stock
  2. Tissue Stamp watercolor paper (I used yellow, purple, blue, turquoise and pink acrylic paints) and cut to fit in embossed rectangle.
  3. Heat white Fun Foam and stamp poetry while still warm so that stamp makes an impression
  4. Rub pink Pearl-Ex over piece. Punch a small hole in the bottom right hand corner.
  5. Thread a gold charm, then seed beads on a head pin
  6. Attach a jump ring through hole in fun foam and attach head pin.

    Stamps: Hero Arts Italian Poetry

Scan does not show accurate colors-they are much brighter in person. Also, the embossed rectangle around the color strip does not show on scan.

Stay the Course (M8H)

  1. Computer generate 4 faux postage stamps and sponge several shades of blue ink over top
  2. Layer on blue, then white, then size H med blue card stock
  3. Stamp sailboat image on watercolor paper with clear embossing ink and gold emboss
  4. Use water color pencils to color image and cut out, leaving little white border around edge
  5. Layer to blue then white card stock and attach to bottom of card with foam dots

Stamps: Unmounted sailboat from My Heart Stamps for You. Email me for postage clip art

Blue Horses (M10H)

  1. Silver emboss design on a piece of gray card. See Embossing-Heat - Make Your Own Background to see how to make a design without a stamp
  2. Cut a thin strip of maroon card and tape to underside of gray piece.
  3. Attach to side H dark blue card
  4. Computer generate horses, and outline with silver Krylon pen. Tape piece to card.

Stamps: Clip-art. Email me for artwork

Music CD

  1. Computer generate design, and print on white text paper
  2. Using the Grid Technique draw lines in red and orange, and fill in with yellow (extend design past the size of your CD)
  3. Paint a coat of Liquid Sculpey over top of piece and bake at 275 for 15 minutes.
  4. Soak in warm water and the white paper backing will peel off
  5. Using white Elmer's glue, glue the piece to a CD.
  6. Rub with clear embossing pad and clear emboss 3-4 times. (Plastic seems to "lift" from the CD while heating, but settles down when cool. Smooth any bubbles)
  7. Dampen a sponge and rub in yellow and orange ink. Rub over size H yellow card.
  8. Cut a piece of light orange card and darker orange card and stamp with music wheel as shown using black ink
  9. Run music wheel over card at top and bottom
  10. Tape layering pieces to card and attach CD with foam dots.

Stamps: Clip-art. Email me for artwork

This would have been much easier if I had the stamps to use on the CD. It was very time-consuming to peel off the white paper backing and I tore the image in a few places-would paint a heavier coat of Sculpey next time.

Celtic Tiles (M11H)

  1. Cut three pieces of mat board 2" square
  2. Rub each with a different color of blue pigment ink
  3. Clear emboss each tile three times
  4. Ink celtic design with gold ink and set aside. Heat one tile again until embossing molten and carefully stamp with design (stamp has a tendency to slide on the wet embossing)
  5. Repeat with the other two tiles
  6. Outline each with gold Krylon pen and spray with clear sealer (the gold ink will smudge if not sealed)
  7. Stamp size H light blue card with celtic design in aqua
  8. Layer turquoise card outlined in gold pen
  9. Tear three strips of gold card and glue on top of turquoise card
  10. Glue tiles to card, centering over gold strips

Stamps: Hand Carved Celtic Design Stamp

Architectural Collage (M12H)

  1. Computer generate map and print on size H sage green card
  2. Computer generate collage and print on vellum.
  3. Sponge with brown, red, and orange inks
  4. Tear edges and outline with gold Krylon pen
  5. Tear piece of dark green card and edge with gold pen
  6. Xerox dictionary page, tear out image, and sponge with brown ink
  7. Layer all pieces to sage card as shown
  8. Rub clear embossing ink at bottom of card and gold emboss. Repeat 3 times.
  9. While last layer is molten, impress with stamp

Stamps: Stampsmith Mexican design (UM); Email me for clip art

  2. trim sage card and attach to size H tan card with copper eyelets
  3. pin green architect pin to bottom as shown
