All That Jazz (Q72S)

  1. Fold black cardstock into a 5 1/2" square card
  2. Cut one piece of dotted paper 5 1/4" x 2 1/2" and attach to top half of card, leaving 1/4" border
  3. Cut piece of striped paper and attach to bottom
  4. Tie a small piece of red ribbon into a knot on the end of a 6" piece of ribbon, and attach ribbon to card, covering the seam of the papers
  5. Print jazz image on white cardstock and attach to card with red eyelets
  6. Thread music clip through knot and glue ends of knot and clip to card

    The ribbon and eyelets scanned as a brighter red - they match the paper better in person

Baby Thanks (Q76Q)

  1. In a graphics program, open the floral background paper
  2. Add the photo of the baby and the black swirl brush
  3. Print on white cardstock, tear the bottom edge of the floral paper and cut around the bottom of the baby
  4. Print text on white cardstock, and trim to 5 1/2" x 8". Fold in half so the text is showing at the bottom right
  5. Attach the cut out paper and baby image to the top of the card
  6. Ink edges of the card with pink
  7. Attach two paper daisies with a yellow brad

    If you don't work much with graphics, you could print the photo of the baby, cut out and attach to purchased decorative paper. Stamp the swirl or other design.

Light Heart Lives Long (Q83Q)

  1. Attach blue paper to top and striped paper to bottom of a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" card
  2. Glue buttons in a row across seam
  3. Print text onto digital journal block, and print on white cardstock
  4. Set an eyelet in the left corner and tie green dotted ribbon in a knot
  5. Attach piece with foam tape

Plaid Thanks (M58Q)

  1. Attach a 5 1/2" x 2 1/2" piece of plaid paper to a 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" dark purple card
  2. Glue thin purple ribbon at the top of the plaid paper
  3. Computer generate Thanks Definition and print on transparency
  4. Attach to a 3 1/4" x 2 1/2" piece of complimentary print paper, using vellum tape under the "Thanks" and two purple eyelets on the right side
  5. Layer to 4" x 2 5/8" dark purple cardstock, attaching on the right side
  6. Tie purple ribbon around left edge
  7. Layer to 4 1/4" x 2 7/8" of light purple cardstock
  8. Attach piece to card with foam tape

Pink & Green Thanks (M59Q)

  1. Cut a piece 4 1/4" wide by 12" long from a 12x12 piece of sage scrapbook paper
  2. Fold up from the bottom at 4 3/4" and 2" down from the top
  3. Cut the top with wave scissors and attach a small piece of dusty pink cardstock behind
  4. Attach pink eyelets at the top, about 1" in from the sides and thread through green and pink polka-dot ribbon (I painted the green dots on my pink ribbon with acrylic paint) - tie in a bow
  5. Cut a piece of complimentary printed scrapbook paper* 2 1/4" x 4 1/2"
  6. Trim the right edge in a wave pattern and attach a small strip of the dusty pink cardstock behind
  7. Attach to the bottom left portion of card
  8. Sponge a die-cut oval label holder with cream and pink acrylic paint
  9. Computer generate THANKS using FrootStand font, and cut to fit label holder
  10. Attach both pieces to bottom right of card (make sure card is open so you don't seal the card shut!)
  11. Attach a small velcro dot to inside top flap so it stays closed

    *I used Green Squares digital paper by Laurie Farrar of Shabbyesque Design as a base. I recolored to match the sage cardstock and added a clip-art design down the right side.

Library Pocket (M60S)

  1. Fold light lime cardstock to 5 1/4" square and attach 5" square of purple cardstock
  2. Print striped paper as described in Striped Paper Tutorial, and trim to 4 3/4" square. Attach to front of card.
  3. Cut library pocket from light lime cardstock. Fold but do not put together yet
  4. Attach a small scrap of striped paper to front and put a piece of green Magic Mesh over
  5. Color a metal daisy with purple metallic marker, and attach to front of pocket with green brad (only go through the front of the pocket)
  6. Tape the back flaps of the pocket and attach pocket to card with double-sided tape
  7. Computer generate text on vellum using GF Halda font
  8. Tear and ink edges and attach with vellum tape
  9. Print tags on polka dot cardstock, trim and insert in pocket.

    To make polka dot paper, open a new image in your graphics program. Choose your first color, and draw random dots with a brush. Choose your second color, change the size of the brush, and repeat. Do the same for as many colors as you want. Insert your digital text onto your digital polka dot paper, and print onto cardstock.
