Neopolitan Thank You (Q72Q)

  1. Fold brown cardstock to 5 1/2" x 4 1/4"
  2. Attach a 1" strip of cream cardstock to a 1 1/2" strip of pink cardstock and tape to card
  3. Cut letters Y-O-U from decorative paper, mount to cardstock, and attach to card
  4. Computer generate "THANKS" using Dustbowl Clementine font on vellum
  5. Tear edges and chalk edges and vellum piece with pink chalk - spray with fixative
  6. Attach to card with pink brads
  7. Glue paper flower to bottom corner

    I created the letters in a graphics programs, filling each with a different pattern, and printed on white cardstock, then cut out.

    Based on a card by Charrie Shockey in Card Creations Vol 4.

 

Pen and Ink (Q70Q)

  1. Draw an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2" rectangle on your screen and insert the Pen and Ink clipart at the bottom right side.
  2. Print a sample first to make sure image is in the correct place
  3. Then, print image onto oatmeal cardstock
  4. Fold card in half, and cut down from the top and around the image as shown
  5. Attach a strip of blue cardstock to the inside cover of the card (when you open the card, the blue cardstock opens with the front)
  6. Cut a tag from blue cardstock, thread with string, and attach to upper left with foam tape
  7. Computer generate "Happy Birthday" in blue ink on vellum, tear and ink edges, and attach to tag with vellum tape
  8. Take three small clay mosaics and sponge with dark blue ink. Top with Glossy Accents and let dry
  9. Attach to bottom of card with E6000 glue
  10. Draw lines around edges with marker

Thanks a Latte! (M60Q)

  1. Cut brown handwriting cardstock to 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" and attach to folded card (any color)
  2. Cut cream handwriting cardstock 3 1/4" x 4 1/2" and attach
  3. Computer generate coffee cup, trim to 2 1/4" x 2 5/8" and mat to dark brown cardstock
  4. Attach to card with foam tape
  5. Computer generate text on vellum, tear edges and attach with copper eyelets







World of Thanks (M61Q)

  1. Put oatmeal cardstock through printer to print "A World of Thanks" in Papyrus font
  2. Cut blue textured provocraft paper to 4 1/4" x 3 1/2" and attach to top of card (I used E6000 as tapes don't seem to hold this paper)
  3. Computer generate map and mat to Faux Suede Paper
  4. Attach to card with foam tape



Sympathy (or any saying) (M36H)

  1. Fold a size H olive card and cut decorative paper 1/4" smaller
  2. Computer generate text on beige parchment, cut into a rectangle and brush edges with olive ink
  3. Punch holes in sides, set green eyelets and tie olive ribbon through each. Be sure to leave enough ribbon to wrap to the back of the decorative paper
  4. Attach to decorative paper with foam tape and tape the edges of the ribbon to the back of the paper.
  5. Measure olive and sheer burgundy ribbon so there is enough to wrap around the back of the decorative paper
  6. Glue sheer ribbon, then olive ribbon to the paper and tape edges around the back
  7. Tape the decorative paper to the olive card

    Stamps: None. This is a great general purpose card and would be suitable for Birthday, Anniversary, Mother's Day, etc.

Medallion (M37S)

  1. Stamp medallion on acetate with black StazOn and let dry
  2. Pour several colors of metallic acrylic paints (I used purple, green and gold) on top of image and add a LITTLE Future Floor Finish
  3. Carefuly swirl together, using the stick end of a paintbrush. Add more paint, or FFF as needed
  4. Crumble a piece of white tissue paper, unfold, and press into paint. Leave it a little lumpy. Let dry (takes several hours)
  5. Using hand-made template, cut hexagon from folded black card stock. The fold should be at the left side - do not cut
  6. Outline with gold leafing pen
  7. Using second template, cut hexagon from purple card stock, outline with gold pen, and cut smaller hexagon from center
  8. Trim the acetate a little smaller than the outside edge of the purple hexagon and tape to purple hexagon
  9. Tape to black card
  10. Punch five 1/8" holes in side of card, 1/2" apart
  11. Thread sheer purple ribbon from the top and purple satin ribbon from the bottom
  12. Tie both in bows and trim edges.

    Because the back of the paintbrush removed some of the stamped image, I went over all the lines on the FRONT of the acetate with a thin Sharpie marker.

Davinci (M17H)

  1. Computer generate the text in green ink on golden brown card stock and cut out.
  2. Tape to size H dark green card
  3. Clear emboss column image several times
  4. Computer generate two Davinci drawings and cut into tag shapes
  5. Layer each drawing to dark green, then golden brown card.
  6. Attach tags to green card with copper eyelets
  7. Twist copper Artistic wire and tape to card
