Friendship (N99S)

  1. I added the text and dotted line to digital striped paper and printed a 5 1/2" square piece. (If you don't work with digital paper, you can use rub ons or rubber stamps on purchased paper).
  2. Attach to folded 5 1/2" square cream cardstock
  3. Cut peach decorative paper 5" x 2 1/2" and attach to center of card
  4. Print clip art flowers on white cardstock and trim each to 1 3/4" x 1 5/8"
  5. Mat each to dark peach cardstock and attach to card with foam tape
  6. Insert 3 pink brads at bottom next to text
  7. Glue pink paper flower to center

Watering Can (N100Q)

  1. Cut a 7" piece of peach ribbon and tie a knot in one end
  2. Print "Birthday Wishes" on a digital tag, print, cut out and punch the "eyelet" hole
  3. Attach to the knotted ribbon with a jump ring
  4. Wrap the ribbon around a 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" piece of diamond paper and attach on the back
  5. Attach the paper to a 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" folded card
  6. Cut a 3 1/2" square piece of rust cardstock, tear one edge, and stitch around the other three edges (or use rub-ons)
  7. Print watering can clip art on cream cardstock, trim and attach to rust cardstock at an angle with a square paper clip.
  8. Attach piece to card with foam tape
  9. Glue 3 small buttons in bottom right corner

Credits: Digital Diamond Paper (Dyan Cross - click here for a tutorial); Digital tag (Eva Kipler - Digital Freebies ); Watering Can clip art (DM)

    Techniques:
Rust Square: I drew a 3 1/2" square in PSP, filled with the rust color from one of the diamonds, and added digital stitching. I then printed and cut out - easy and I didn't have to drag the sewing machine out!
Watering Can: The watering can was red, so I used the "Change to Target" brush in PSP to color it orange, while keeping the shading of the original.

Masterpiece of Nature (N101Q)

  1. Print photo on photo paper, trim to 5 1/2" x 3 1/2" and attach to folded 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" white card
  2. Tear a small piece of vellum and attach to bottom of card, on an angle
  3. Print text on white cardstock and mat to dark red cardstock, cutting edges with wave scissors
  4. Set a red eyelet into each side
  5. Thread red ribbon through the eyelets, leaving enough to stretch to the edges of the card
  6. Cut a small piece of ribbon and tie in a knot to the left of the text
  7. Put foam tape on the text piece and red liner tape on the ribbon and attach to card, covering the bottom seam of the photo

Special Day (N102Q)

  1. Attach two complimentary printed papers to a folded 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" card (left piece is about 1 1/2" wide)
  2. Add text onto digital heart clipart, print on white cardstock, and cut out
  3. Lay heart onto card and draw guidelines - stamp swirls (or use rub-ons) so that edges will extend beyond the heart
  4. Attach heart to card with foam tape
  5. Glue the ribbon rose with leaf to bottom of card

Credits: Flowered digital paper (Melissa Renfro - LittleOne PinkFlower); Pink Dot digital paper (Shabby Princess-recolored); Clip Art (chili_ME~FloralValentinesHeart); PSP Swirl Brush (Danetta Swirls&Twirls 001)

Techniques:All the pieces were created digitally. Create a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" image in a graphics program and add the two pieces of digital paper. Place the heart on the image, add a layer, and "stamp" with the brush, making sure the edges extend beyond the heart. Close off all layers except the floral and the brush and merge. Copy and paste as a new image.

Return to the original image, undo the merge, close the floral paper layer and open the dotted paper layer. Merge the brush with the dotted paper, copy and paste into a new image. Print both papers and attach to the card.

I could have more easily printed one image containing both papers with the brush design, but I prefer the texture of one paper overlapping the other on the card.

Purple Flower (N104Q)

  1. Attach two patterned papers to a 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" folded black card, leaving a border around the edges
  2. Stamp or use a rub-on swirl at the top right corner
  3. Use stamped image (or digital clip art) for the flower, trim to a 3" square, and matt with black cardstock, leaving the end of the image to extend past the matt on the left side.
  4. Attach black dotted ribbon to the card at the seam between the papers
  5. Attach the floral piece with foam tape
  6. Thread several beads on an eyehook, attach to a jump ring, and attach to the ribbon

Credits: Digital papers and floral digital image (Dyan Cross)

    Techniques:
Top paper was created using the "Blinds" technique.
Bottom paper was created using the "Pastel Grunge" technique, and adding the blinds effect.
Flower Brush (I made the brush from a photograph, using the Digital Stamp Technique). I used the Pastel Grunge background paper as the background, "stamped" the floral image, and used a text brush to cover the background.
