Sunset (N15H)

  1. Take size H white card stock, draw an oval on the front and carefully cut out. (I drew an oval in a graphics program, printed it, cut it out and used it as a template.)
  2. Cut another size H white card stock in half, so you have a piece 5 1/2" x 8 1/2"
  3. Trace around the oval onto the half white card so you know where to glue your "sunset strips"
  4. Tear 4-1" strips from a used dryer sheet, and 1-2" strip.
  5. Dye each sheet a different color: orange, pink, peach, lilac, and the large piece dark purple
  6. Cut out one skyline from black stock and the other from dark grey stock
  7. Arrange the dryer strips (from top: purple, lilac, peach, pink, orange) on the penciled oval, and trim the edges about 1/2" shorter than the width of the card.
  8. Place sheet behind oval from front of card to be sure everything is lined up properly and glue dryer sheets to half card.
  9. Glue two skyline pieces to dryer strips
  10. Attach half card to inside front of full card, so when you open the card, you are looking at solid white card stock on both sides

Stained Glass Roses (N16H)

  1. Stamp stained glass design on vellum, and color with watercolor pencils, using blender pen to blend colors
  2. When dry (might need to use heat gun), spread entire image with clear embossing ink and clear emboss. Repeat at least one more time until surface looks like glass.
  3. Cut a 4 1/2" x 7 1/2" piece from decorative paper (or you could brayer colors onto card stock). Cut oval from center. (Measure to be sure oval is in center of piece)
  4. Tape decorative paper to "stained glass" design.
  5. Take size H lilac card stock and stamp writing in pruple ink.
  6. Tape stained glass piece to card stock
  7. Stamp dragonfly in bottom right corner, using clear embossing ink
  8. Rub with pink Pearl-Ex to bring out design.
  9. Glue Small ribbon rose at top.

    Stamps: Hero Arts Italian Poetry, Inkadinkado 8422-L Sm. Dragonfly. I did a search for stained glass patterns and printed the rose pattern ( Warner-Crivellaro )directly onto the vellum using a laser printer.

Pears Card (N17Q)

  1. Fold a sage card to 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" and attach a piece of green Magic Mesh down the center
  2. Print the pear background using peach colored fonts on peach cardstock
  3. Tear down the center and attach to the right and left sides of the card with copper eyelets
  4. Stamp the Pear label on white glossy paper with black Memories ink
  5. Color with markers and cut out
  6. Layer to peach, then olive cardstock and attach to center of card on an angle with foam tape
  7. Thread some fiber through the eyelets on the left side and tie in a knot inside

    This is great used as an anniversary card with the inside verse: "To one of the greatest "pears" I know!"

 

Spring Flower (Q18Q)

  1. Stamp flower onto white textured cardstock with black Memories ink and color with chalks
  2. Lightly color background with chalks also
  3. Attach to hot pink cardstock with foam tape
  4. Tape to quarter-size cream folded card
  5. Trim edge of folded card with deckle scissors
  6. Set three green eyelets in card
  7. Attach a piece of green Magic Mesh to bottom of card
  8. Stamp verse on vellum and attach to Mesh with vellum tape
  9. Tie a small olive green ribbon bow and glue to flower

Vintage Flower (N19Q)

  1. Cut the front off a small greeting card and outline with a gold krylon pen
  2. Outline a quarter-size folded olive card with the gold pen
  3. Attach the card front with red eyelets.
  4. Write the word love on a small scrap of vellum, tear the edges and rub with gold ink
  5. Tape to the card with vellum tape

 

Paris Rose (N20Q)

  1. Stamp Paris Rose on beige card stock and color with water color pencils.
  2. Cut edge of folded quarter size tan card with deckle scissors and highlight with gold metallic marker.
  3. Stamp poetry in gold ink on tan card stock in several different directions.
  4. Attach Paris Rose to card with foam tape
  5. Punch holes in top of card and tie bow in sheer beige ribbon

Roses (N21Q)

  1. Draw lines 1/4" apart on card stock and cut out every other one to make a stripe template
  2. Lay template on folded quarter size cream card and sponge olive ink to make stripes
  3. Cut a piece of cream cardstock to fit the top portion of card, tear the bottom edge, and stamp three roses, inking the flowers with pink ink and the stems with olive
  4. Stamp splatter stamp using green and pink ink on top of the roses
  5. Tear a thin piece of hot pink card stock and tape to card with stripes
  6. Tape stamped rose piece on top
