Butterfly Aloha (N8Q)

  1. Stamp butterfly on white card stock with black ink and black emboss
  2. Color with watercolor pencils, blend with Dove blender
  3. Cut out close to image and set aside
  4. Fold an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2" piece of dark yellow cardstock in half and stamp with sun image, using ink color that is very close to the cardstock color
  5. Cut peach cardstock 3 1/2" x 2 3/4" and stamp with Aloha in blue ink
  6. Layer to blue cardstock - tear edges
  7. Layer to black cardstock and attach to card with foam tape
  8. Put foam tape on butterfly body only and attach to bottom of aloha piece
  9. Glue on Sarah Heidt Photocraft mosaic tiles and Junkitz Sunny Days charm
  10. Stamps: Butterfly, Sun, Aloha (Rubber Stamp Plantation)

Chili Peppers (N9Q)

  1. Computer generate green, red and yellow chili peppers on white card stock
  2. Cut out inside of each pepper, and attach green card stock behind the green pepper and yellow stock behind the yellow pepper.
  3. Cut edges in wavy pattern to fit size Q red card stock.
  4. Stipple card with green, red and yellow ink, and rub green ink on edges.
  5. Attach to red card with double sided tape
  6. Punch 1/8" holes at top and bottom of front of card and tie thin red cord in a bow
  7. Tie charm to one end of bow.

Embossed Shell (N10H)

  1. Fold Size H tan card stock in half and put front half through corrugator.
  2. Trim bottom with deckle scissors.
  3. Dry emboss a small image on white card stock and trim with deckle scissors.
  4. Cut two contrasting colors of paper with deckle scissors
  5. Tear small strips from a used dryer sheet.
  6. Glue all pieces together, and attach to card with foam dots

    Stamps: None - need brass shell stencil

Blue Dragonflies (N11H)

  1. Fold light blue H size card stock in half
  2. Cut a piece of patterned paper (I used wallpaper) 3/8" smaller than blue card
  3. Stamp large dragonfly with blue ink and clear emboss
  4. Stamp small dragonflies with blue ink and clear emboss. See sample card for placement
  5. Attach patterned paper to card stock
  6. Tie silver cord around top of card and tie in a bow

Celestial Post-its Holder (N12)

  1. Cut a piece of beige card stock 7 1/4" x 3 1/4" (I used an extra-heavy stock)
  2. On the side you are using for the outside, score a line 2 3/4" down from the top, and then another line 1/8" from that.
  3. On the same side, score a line 1 1/4" from the bottom and 1/8" up from that
  4. Fold on these scored lines (This will accommodate the thickness of the post-it pad)
  5. Sponge the outside with yellow, orange, red, brown and copper inks
  6. Stamp assorted stamps with black ink. (Since this piece will be folded around a post-it pad, make sure you stamp in the right direction)
  7. Pull the back off post-it pad and place inside holder
  8. Stick a small piece of velcro to hold cover closed

Embossed Rose (N13S)

  1. On a small piece of white card stock, trace around a brass rose stencil with a permanent marker (Sharpie ultra-fine)
  2. With watercolor pencils, color three shades of green on leaves and stems (darker green around edge, med green next, then light green in center).
  3. Using two shades of pink, color in flower
  4. Using blender pen, or paintbrush dipped in a LITTLE water, blend colors
  5. Use marker to draw fine lines around edge of each leaf and flower petal
  6. Place stencil on opposite side of painted flower and dry emboss (This is not really visible in the scan but adds nice depth in person)
  7. Cut with deckle scissors and rub the edges with pink and light green ink pads
  8. Cut hot pink card stock about 4 1/2" square and put through corrugator
  9. Cut light green card stock almost 5" square and rub the edges with pink ink pad
  10. Layer all to size S green card stock, angling pink and flower piece as shown
  11. Attach all but flowered piece with double sided tape; use foam dots for the flower piece.

    Stamps: No stamps; brass rose stencil (unknown source)

    Pinks and greens are much brighter than in the scan

Embossed Shell (N14S)

  1. On a small piece of white card stock, emboss various shells
  2. Brush the edges of purple and blue ink pads along the edges of card
  3. On a separate piece of white card stock, trace shell stencil with permanent marker (ultra-fine Sharpie)
  4. Color with blue, purple and pink watercolor pencils and add a drop of water to blend colors.
  5. Draw small shadow lines with permanent marker
  6. Turn piece over and emboss from opposite site
  7. Cut out leaving very small border.
  8. Attach white embossed piece to purple, then to blue, then to size Q white card stock.
  9. Attach colored shell to embossed piece with foam tape

    Stamps: No stamps; brass seashell stencil (unknown source)

    Embossed cards look very elegant and it's difficult to show in a scan.
