Flower Thanks (N90Q)

  1. I used a graphics program to add the word "Thanks" in Console font on a 4" x 5 1/4" rectangle of green, then printed on white cardstock, and attached to the front of a folded 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" black card. (You can use Microsoft Word if you don't have a graphics program, stamp the word thanks on green cardstock, or use stickers or rub-ons).
  2. Use clip art or rubber stamps to make your main image (see below) and trim to 2 1/2" x 4 1/4"
  3. Mat with black cardstock, tearing the bottom edge
  4. Tie thin pink ribbon around the piece, tying a knot in front
  5. Attach to card with foam tape
  6. Use Glossy Accents to cover each of the letters to give them a dimensional look.

    My main image was created digitally. I first created the background paper, using green, pinks and yellow. I used the text brush in black to cover the background, then added the flower brush.

Watering Can (Q91S)

  1. Layer plaid paper to yellow cardstock, to pink cardstock to a folded 5 1/2" square white card
  2. Print wateringcan clipart and text on white cardstock and layer to yellow cardstock
  3. Insert yellow brads in each corner
  4. Attach piece to card with foam tape
  5. Tie pink dotted ribbon in a knot and glue to the top

Sunflower (N92QS)

  1. Stamp flowers on front of blue folded 4 1/4 x 5 1/2" card, using ink very close in color to the cardstock
  2. Tear a piece of yellow shimmer paper, ink the edges and wrap with black ribbon, tying in a knot in front
  3. Attach to bottom of card
  4. Stamp and color sunflower (I used a digital black and white sunflower image and colored digitally, then printed on white cardstock)
  5. Cut black mat just a little larger than image, and cut a rounded slit at each corner
  6. Slide image into the slits and set a terra cotta eyelet in each corner
  7. Attach piece to card with foam tape.

Love Dragonfly (N93S)

  1. Cut the floral vellum 4 1/2" square and attach to solid white cardstock with green eyelets
  2. Tie burgundy sheer and green grossgrain ribbon in a knot in front and attach ends around the back
  3. Hang a gold LOVE charm to a jump ring and attach to knot in ribbons
  4. Attach piece to 5" square piece of deep burgundy cardstock with foam tape
  5. Cut white textured cardstock into a 5 1/2" square card and outline the edges with a gold leafing pen
  6. Attach piece to card with double-sided tape
  7. Press clay into dragonfly mold and bake (See clay mold)
  8. Outline the edges with a gold leafing pen and attach with glue.

Life's Journey (N94L)

  1. Cut purple Bazzil cardstock to 12" x 8". Mark 4" and 8" from left side and fold to make three panels (first fold is mountain, second is valley)
  2. Cut 12" x 3 1/2" decorative paper* and attach to top third of piece
  3. Stitch dark green ribbon across seam with zig-zag stitch
  4. Thread ribbons through charms and tape, spanning the inside two panels (Charms: Memories, Laughter, Cherish, Friendship, Inspiration)
  5. Print "Preserving the Past" and "Creating the Future" using GF Halda font on vellum
  6. Trim, ink edges and attach with vellum tape
  7. Print Life's Journey on the same decorative paper, and brayer a small piece of cardstock with green and purple inks. Back the printed piece with cardstock to stiffen, tape both pieces together, and attach to front with foam tape
  8. Fold piece into thirds and cut top edges into tag shape
  9. Sponge ink on clay fern, (See clay mold) spray with fixative, and glue to front of piece
  10. Cut three small squares of purple cardstock and attach to top of each panel
  11. Set green eyelets into the squares on the 2nd and 3rd panels
  12. Punch a hole in the square on the front panel and thread through fibers

    Technique: I created the fern paper by filling a blank image with the wavy pattern, then using a fern brush in various sizes and rotations. I used the same paper for the Life's Journey text (Life is Snippet Font, Journey is GF Halda font). I added a digital gradient using purple and green to a small rectangle and printed as a backing to the Word Art.

Daisy Diamonds (N95Q)

  1. Cut dark blue cardstock into a 5 1/2" x 4 1/2" card
  2. Cut diamond paper same size and tear as shown on sample
  3. Curl and fold over the right edge, and attach paper to card
  4. Print (or stamp) daisy image on white cardstock and matt to gold, then blue cardstock
  5. Punch two holes on left side and thread blue and gold ribbon through, tying in a knot
  6. Attach to card with foam tape
  7. Thread blue embroidery thread through two yellow buttons, and glue all three buttons to right side of card
