Single Soul (N83Q)

  1. Brayer green, blue and purple rainbow ink on glossy white paper.
  2. When dry, cut into 1" strips.
  3. Flip every other strip around so the colors don't match up perfectly, and tape on the back. (There is much more of a contrast in the colors in real life - the scanner blended the blues and greens more than they actually are).
  4. Stamp leaves randomly in black ink.
  5. Layer to black cardstock.
  6. Print verse on vellum in black ink, tear top and bottom edges and ink.
  7. Attach to piece with purple eyelets.
  8. Attach to a 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" purple card with foam tape.
  9. Glue on dragonflies.

Striped Sunflowers (N84Q)

  1. Print striped digital paper, trim to 3 7/8" x 5 and layer to black cardstock, then to a 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" card
  2. Stamp sunflowers with Staz-On ink on white cardstock (this ink will not run when using watercolors)
  3. Color with watercolor pencils and blend with a Dove blender
  4. Trim closely and layer to black cardstock
  5. Glue black gingham ribbon to card and attach sunflower panel on top
  6. Glue on Everything Blossoms charm by Junkitz

Daisies (N85Q)

  1. Stamp daisies on glossy paper with clear embossing ink, and clear emboss
  2. Sponge various shades of yellow and orange ink on paper and use paper towel to wipe paint off of embossed flowers
  3. Trim piece to 4 1/2" x 3 1/2"
  4. Tear two strips each of red cardstock and green grasspaper wallpaper and attach to back of daisies
  5. Tie green ribbon and yellow fiber around piece, tying in a knot in front
  6. Tape piece to a 4 1/2 x 5 1/2" olive card
  7. Glue two Sarah Heidt Photocraft mosaic tiles to the top left

Bird (N86H)

  1. Using olive ink, stamp the edges of a folded olive card with the asparagus leaf stamp
  2. Stamp tan cardstock with grass using olive ink and tape to the olive card
  3. Take a piece of tan cardstock, sponge with pigment inks and overstamp with asparagus leaf using olive ink
  4. Cut into 4 rectangles and tape to a piece of peach cardstock
  5. Attach to card with copper eyelets
  6. Stamp bird on tan cardstock
  7. Lay a piece of green Magic Mesh across a piece of black cardstock and tape stamped bird image on top
  8. Attach piece to the card with foam tape
  9. Cut two postage stamp shapes from peach and olive cardstock, using postage-edge scissors
  10. Tape together as shown, attaching a real Curlew postage stamp on top
  11. Cut a small piece of Magic Mesh, attach to card, and tape postage on top.

Colorful Fern (N87Q)

  1. Fold cream cardstock to 5 1/2" x 4 1/4"
  2. Tear a piece of scrap paper and lay over the card, leaving about 1" of the right side of the card exposed
  3. Sponge on various inks
  4. Keeping scrap paper in place, stamp with splatter stamp using black Memories ink
  5. Sponge same inks on a scrap piece of cream cardstock and stamp with splatter stamp
  6. Stamp Fern in center
  7. Trim, mat to black cardstock, and attach to card with foam tape
  8. Set two pink eyelets along left edge and feed fiber from Fibers By The Yard through, tying on the inside
  9. Sponge two clay corners with black ink, heat set to dry and attach to stamped image with E6000 glue. (See clay mold)

Wallpaper Flower (Q88Q)

  1. Attach a piece of white mulberry-type paper to the left side of a folded 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" white card
  2. Tear the left edge of a piece of 3" x 4 1/4" green decorative paper, and attach a small piece of pink decorative paper to the left edge.
  3. Attach to the right side of the card, overlapping the mulberry paper
  4. Cut several flowers and leaves from wallpaper, and attach one flower directly to the card
  5. Attach the second flower with foam tape, changing the angle slightly
  6. Attach several leaves, both with tape and foam tape
  7. Glue lace to the right edge of the card and attach tiny pink buttons

3 Flower Thanks (N89Q)

  1. Cut decorative paper to 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" and attach to front of card
  2. Cut strip of pink cardstock 5 1/2" x 1" and attach to bottom
  3. Print "thanks" using Casablanca Antique font, color pink, cut out and attach to pink strip
  4. Print large pink flower and cut out
  5. Attach small silk flower, to medium silk flower to large paper flower with brad, and attach to card

    I created the background paper digitally, and also printed the pink strip to be sure it matched. In a graphics program, I drew a cream colored square, added a thin pink border, and placed the letter in each block. The flower was digitally distressed, but sandpaper would work as well.

    Card was based on one by Nicole Heady in Card Creations Vol 4.
