  2. Spray several times with acrylic sealer, letting dry between each coat
  3. Cut a piece of sheer cream ribbon and place on front of wax resist piece, taping ends to the back
  4. Cut a 3" square from mat board and rub with lavender ink. Sprinkle with clear embossing powder and emboss. Repeat 3 times
  5. Ink dragonfly stamp with Memories black. Heat embossing powder again til molten, and carefully stamp (stamp has a tendency to slide in the embossing powder)
  6. Wrap copper shiny tape around edges (or use copper Krylon pen)
  7. Attach dragonfly tile to wax resist piece with copper eyelets
  8. Attach wax resist piece to size H peach card with copper eyelets

Dragonfly Music (N58H)

  1. Using Krylon gold leaf pen, draw thick line around size H black card and set aside
  2. Computer generate music score using brown color on white card stock and on heavy weight white paper. Cut paper a little smaller than black card, and cut card stock to 3 1/4" x 4 1/4" rectangle
  3. Sponge yellow, orange and brown ink on both pieces. Tape larger piece to black card
  4. Stamp dragonfly on small piece with black memories ink

  7. Tear black card stock a little larger than dragonfly piece, rub edges with gold ink pad, and tape to card on angle.
  8. Attach dragonfly piece with foam tape
  9. Flatten gold Sculpey clay and roll music stamp wheel over. Bake, covered, at 300 for 15 min.
  10. Glue to card with E6000 glue, and attach some gold colored rhinestones.

Stamps: Large Dragonfly (Anita's); Email me for music score clip art

Ivy & Flowers (N59Q)

  1. Outline size H olive card with a gold leafing pen
  2. Tear green decorative paper, outline cut edge with gold leafing pen, and attach to card
  3. Tear ivy and flowers image from a purchased card and outline edges with gold pen
  4. Layer to torn purple card stock and attach to olive card with foam tape
  5. Cut a small tag from purple card stock and layer a piece of purple decorative paper
  6. Computer generate the word Dream on vellum, tear edges and attach to tag with vellum tape
  7. Punch hole in tag, thread gold fibers, and attach to card with foam tape

I used the word Dream on the tag because the inside verse was: "You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream - Brown"

Stamps: None. This is a great way to use up images from old cards. You could use clip art, or a stamped image.

Daisies for Mother (any text can be used) (N60H)

  1. Ink Italian poetry with brown ink, stamp off (stamp once on scrap paper, then without reinking, stamp on your card - the image will be lighter), and stamp folded yellow parchment card
  2. Tear decorative paper, ink the edge with brown ink and tape to top right corner of card
  3. Tear a small piece of yellow vellum and tape to top right corner of card
  4. Cut golden brown card stock into a tag, attach pale yellow piece of card, then a piece of yellow vellum. Punch a hole
  5. Use peel off letter labels to spell MOTHER (or anything you want)
  6. Thread fibers through hole and attach to card with foam tape
  7. Stamp daisies on crackle background decorative paper and color with water color pencils
  8. Cut design into 6 even pieces, rub each with clear embossing ink and clear emboss. Repeat once. (I had to hold down the edge of each piece with a pencil eraser so it wouldn't blow all over while I embossed)
  9. Tape pieces to dark brown card stock, rub entire piece with clear embossing ink and clear emboss. (The finish on the brown is a little lumpy and the finish on the tiles is very smooth)
  10. Layer to golden brown card stock and attach to card with foam tape

Stamps: Daisies (Ink n' Rubber Expressions); Italian Poetry (Hero Arts)

It would have been easier to clear emboss the daisy image and then cut into squares. Since you will be embossing again after attaching to brown card, any cracks in the embossing due to cutting will be fixed.

Batik Wildflowers (N62Q)

  1. Stamp flowers on mulberry paper with clear embossing ink and clear emboss
  2. Brayer with purple, orchid and pink pigment inks
  3. Iron mulberry paper with tissue paper on top until embossing powder "melts" into the tissue paper. (See Faux Batik Technique)

  9. Computer generate the rest of text on vellum, tear and ink edges and attach to the inside with vellum tape.

    Stamps: Delphinium (Rubber Stampede)
