For my sister's 50th birthday. My niece came up with the idea of using a Fairy Tale as the theme, and the "story" is told by printing on a clip-art scroll. The scroll is colorized, depending on the layout.

Natural Beauty

  1. Print photo 7" x 7" (you must be able to cut a circle on the right edge of photo)
  2. Cut photo in semi-circular shape and mat to black cardstock - trim to about 1/4"
  3. I made a template using a 12" x 12" piece of scrap paper, drawing the circular image in the lower left, and drawing lines where the individual sections would be. I numbered the sections, cut them apart, and used them as templates to cut the decorative paper into the proper sized shapes
  4. I printed "Natural Beauty" in Stamp font on white cardstock, and cut around it, using my template slice
  5. Tape all papers to 12" x 12" cardstock (any color) (I taped the two ends, and the white "Natural Beauty" first, and fit the others in)
  6. Attach white-striped thin ribbon to each wedge, covering the edges
  7. Tape the photo in the bottom left corner, covering all edges
  8. Sponge lime ink on a white flower and glue to the top right corner

Glue page pebble to white silk flower, and then to top of paperclip. Glue to decorative papers as shown

Scroll reads: Many Knights vied for the hand of the Princess Hara, but Sir Alan of Passmore won her heart. They met on 7-9-76, and in one of his many romantic gestures, he had the dated engraved on a gold necklace for Princess Hara.
