My dear niece Rachel is graduating college in May and I wanted to prepare a mini-scrapbook for her. Using a 6x6" kit from Jen Caputo, I made the following pages.

Best Friends Then...

  2. Sponge edges with Tea Dye Distress Ink
  3. Rub edge of photo with clear embossing ink and copper emboss - attach to background
  4. Computer generate gold label holder on photo paper, and Best Friends text on vellum
  5. Cut out label holder, tape vellum behind, and attach to layout with copper eyelets
  6. Computer generate the word "then" in GF Halda font on twill tape and sew to top right of layout
    Hinged Pieces:
  7. Cut 4 pieces of beige cardstock 1 1/4" wide x 3" high - fold each in half
  8. Computer generate names on 4 different decorative purple papers - trim and attach to top half of cardstock pieces
  9. Ink edges, inside and outside of small pieces, using distress ink
  10. Computer generate items for inside of flap (I used a favorite thing of each of the girls) in purple on vellum
  11. Tear edges, ink with distress ink and attach to inside pieces with vellum tape
  12. Attach hinges to top of piece and to layout with copper eyelets

    Stamps: None

  3. Rub clear embossing ink around edges of page and copper emboss
  4. Computer generate "and now" on twill tape using GF Halda font and sew to center of layout

  6. Push a brad into the top of each square, catching a length of purple ribbon
  7. Attach frame to layout, making sure ends of ribbon are securely behind the frame
  8. Computer generate names on vellum, tear and ink edges and attach to layout with foam tape

    Stamps: None
