Party

This page has an accordian folded "booklet" attached to the front of it which leaves room for 5 pictures in the same space you would only be able to put one. You're looking at the "cover" of the booklet which lifts to show 4 additional photos. The second picture shows 3 of the 4 inside photos, and the third picture shows the 3rd and 4th inside photos.

  1. Tear right edge of blue decorative paper, and attach a torn piece of dark red cardstock to right edge
  2. Attach paper to left side of 6x6 dark yellow cardstock
  3. Attach red eyelets in all four corners
  4. Cut a piece of dark yellow cardstock 16" long and 5 1/2" wide and accordian fold every 4", making 4 sections 4" long (I used 12" cardstock and taped a 4" piece to one end, making 16")
  5. Tape the bottom section of the accordian book to the layout, leaving room at the bottom for the title
  6. You will have 5 surfaces available to attach photos - the four sections on one side of the accordian book, and one section of the reverse side which will be the "cover"
  7. Decorate each page by attaching various scraps of the blue decorative paper and red cardstock
  8. Attach photos to each page
  9. Print headings of each photo on vellum using an appropriate font
  10. Tear and ink edges and attach to photos with vellum tape
  11. Print "Party" using Billboard font in red on dark yellow cardstock
  12. Layer to dark red cardstock
  13. Attach to bottom of layout with foam tape

    Fonts: Billboard font (Westwind)

Greek Week

  1. Prepare background paper (see below)
  2. Layer photo to yellow parchment, tearing edges and inking with purple
  3. Tape to layout
  4. Computer generate title on yellow vellum using Herakles font and tear and ink edges
  5. Attach to top of layout with purple eyelets
  6. Sponge light purple pigment ink on a purple slide mount
  7. Stamp decorative stamp with dark purple ink
  8. Spready with acrylic gloss sealer
  9. Attach slide mount to layout, framing the subject

In a graphics program, inport Greek Design clipart and enter at the top and bottom of your image. Using Isimi font and any text, fill the background with the text and lower the opacity of the layer. Using the same font in a larger size, type EK (or the letters of the sorority), in several places around the page and rotate in different directions. Print on lilac cardstock.

Bid Day

  1. Prepare background paper (see below)
  2. Layer photo to dark pink cardstock, leaving an addtional 1/2" of space on the right side.
  3. Punch three evenly-spaced holes along the right side, and set purple eyelets, catching a metal-edged tag in the center eyelet
  4. Attach image to layout with foam tape
  5. Computer generate title using Herakles font on vellum, tear and ink edges and attach to tag with vellum tape
  6. Twist pink artistic wire as shown, threading the two letter tags before curling the end
  7. Attach wire to layout with E6000 glue, and attach foam tape to the bag of the tags so they will lay flat.

Directions for creating the background are listed above under Greek Week. To change the color, use the Magic Wand in PSP to select the purple and fill with the color of your choice (in this case, pink).
