Stickers
Note: None of the images to the left have larger images.
- Open the image you want to make into a sticker.
- Copy and paste onto a transparent background, if it's not already on one.(Image 1)
- Add a layer, fill with the outline color you want (I used black, but you can use white or any color).
- Drag the new layer below your image layer
- On your Layer Pallette, select the layer with the image
- Choose the Magic Wand tool, set the Match Mode to All Opaque, and choose your image (if the image has varied colors, this is an easy way to select the whole thing) (Image 2)
- Selections Menu > Modify > Expand and enter the number of pixels you want as a border (for this image, I used 3; for a larger image you may want a thicker border)
- Selections Menu > Invert
- Go back to your Layer Pallette, select the layer with the solid fill
- Hit the delete key and you have your image with the border.(Image 3)
- Deselect, and merge the layers
- Here's a paper that I made using the "sticker" technique to outline my images. Click here to see a card made with this paper.
